Please note: all swimmers will be moved up automatically as they progress.
In Stage 1 of the ASA Learn to Swim Framework your child will develop basic movement skills, water confidence and safety awareness. Swimmers will be able to use aids e.g. arm bands and floats to help complete this stage. In order to pass this stage and move onto the next stage you child will have to be able to demonstrate that they can do the following consistently
- Move around in the water confidently.
- Move into a stretched floating position using aids.
- Learn how to push and glide.
- Fully submerge under the water.
To be accepted into this stage unaccompanied your child must be at least 4 years old. and able to stand in the shallow end of the pool (90cm deep).
